Experience.  Splendid Safaris is a division of Parker Travel, with over 30 years of experience in providing tour services around the world.  Our local tour operator partners abroad are leaders in offering top-notch service.  We handle customized tour services for those desiring trips featuring birdwatching, photography, culture, wildlife, and numerous other special themes.

Help Your Zoo!  Splendid Safaris’ parent company, Parker Travel, is a supportive member of the Association of Zoos & Aquariums (AZA).  We believe that zoos and aquariums provide a valuable educational service to their communities.  When you participate in one of our Safaris, your local zoo or aquarium can benefit.  We provide a financial contribution to the nearest participating AZA zoo or aquarium.

Zoo Members Save!  Are you a member of an AZA-accredited zoo or aquarium?  If so, your tour cost will be reduced by $100 per person!  This is in addition to the financial incentive we provide to the zoo!  If you are not a member of an AZA institution, we will give you a one-year membership (Family Membership if two-or-more are traveling, or an Individual Membership if only one is traveling)!

Small Group Experience.  All of our Safaris are limited to a maximum of 16 total participants.  The result is a small, intimate group, interested in experiencing the Wildlife and Culture of the destination.  (Some other operators allow a much larger number of participants on any given tour).  Should you have an organized group with more than 16 participants, please contact us to discuss the possibilities to split the group on various activities, and still allow a true, quality Safari experience.

Guaranteed Departures.  With very few exceptions, all of our scheduled tours are guaranteed to operate with a minimum of only two participants!  (Note:  Those that require more than two to operate are indicated on the individual Tour Page)

Private Services.  With very few exceptions, all of our Splendid Safaris’ tours are private groups, comprised only of participants that are our clients.  You will not find yourself sharing a tour with participants from other countries or other tour operators.  This ensures that you will enjoy your experience with other discerning travelers that have selected a Splendid Safaris program.  (Note:  Those that may include other passengers, in addition to our clients, are indicated on the individual Tour Page).

Professional Tour Leader.  Because of our cooperation with AZA zoos and aquariums, we will provide a professional zoo staff member to accompany the group, subject only to a minimum of six paying participants!  This is a special feature that other operators don’t offer!

Customized Journeys Welcomed.  Because of our personal relationship with local tour operator partners around the world, we can provide customized tour services worldwide.  While many of our Journeys are planned in cooperation with various zoos and aquariums, we can assist you with customized tour services to meet your interests, should you so desire!

Last-Minute Bookings Possible!  Have you wanted to travel at the last-minute, but the tour operator could not assist you?  Well, Splendid Safaris can arrange last-minute arrangements in most cases!  Please contact us and let us know your desires!

U.S.-Based Operator.  We are based in the U.S., and provide all of our services in cooperation with our service partners abroad.  Therefore, it’s easy to deal directly with us on any issue which might arise.

Air Arrangements.  We are fully accredited by ARC (Airlines Reporting Corporation) and IATA (International Air Transport Association).  Therefore, we can assist you with international air travel arrangements (unlike some tour operators that only offer land services).

ASTA Member.  We are a member of ASTA (the American Society of Travel Agents).  As such, we strive to provide you with the very best in travel arrangements, whether it involves tour services alone, or in conjunction with air travel.
